This 15-credit concentration prepares educators to provide culturally-responsive, trauma-informed services, and build resilience in themselves and the students they serve.
The Teacher Leader concentration in the MAEd in Curriculum and Instruction at Avila provides leadership knowledge and skills that address a diverse range of learning needs in planning & conducting instruction, in managing the learning environment and in assessment & evaluation. This 15-credit concentration prepares the teacher leader in contemporary issues that are in demand in education practice today including trauma-sensitive practices, the inclusive K-12 classroom, and a range of effective teaching & learning models.
